ABOUT US

A national company cannot ignore the fact that in Canada, more than 25% of the population, or over 8 million Canadians, have French as their mother tongue. All Francophones share a language and cultural references to which they are very attached, and in this highly demanding market, translation is not enough. French-speaking consumers or users will engage with brands that make a clear, visible and creative effort to localize their message to this particular ecosystem. Localizing your content is no longer an “extra”, but an “essential” to appeal to Quebecers, and it is in the best interest of brands to surround themselves with specialists who know how to address this audience.

Serv is a team of bilingual experts providing professional localization services in English and French. We help your team translate your website, social media and communications to reach all parts of Canada in both official languages  especially in la belle province of Quebec.

RAHIM Karmali, FOUNDER & CEO

Hey!

My name is Rahim and I am the founder and CEO at Serv. Born and raised in Montreal, I have always had a passion for sharing my inherited cultures. Particularly sharing my hybrid Canadian and Québecois identity, and the beauty of its bilingualism.

In 2016, after completing an undergraduate degree in Linguistics and a Master’s in Communication, I launched Serv as a freelancer and grew our team to a small professional localization team.

Today, after 5 years and despite a pandemic, we have collaborated with over 75 brands in many industries, translated millions of words and opened our second offices in Toronto. My vision remains to share my expertise in both official languages by helping our partners with bilingual communications across Canada.
